Century Paddle is a 115-mile flat water sea kayak / paddle trip from Willamette Falls to the Pacific Ocean over six days and five nights (Aug. 27-Sept 1th 2012). Participants will paddle down river (in a tidal environment) for four to five hours per day making camp each of the five nights on the beaches of the magnificent Willamette and Columbia Rivers. Our goal in 2012 is to have 25 participants who will also sponsor 25 disabled military veterans to come paddle 115 miles of Oregon Country. Sea kayakers will have the opportunity to converge on this amazing journey, while joining our military war veterans through a paddling expedition of great significance.
Our ground and river support is complete with the help of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, environmental experts, River Keepers, River Stewards, National kayak team members, swift-water rescue experts, photographers, and videographers. All your equipment is hauled down stream every every day by river stewards on our team, and a base camp set up before you arrive. This all inclusive trip is sure to challenge you, and restore you at the same time.
Century Paddlers will enjoy a fully supported trip complete with 5-Star catered meals provided by License to Grill. Also included in your registration fee are T-shirts, second night family barbeque and forth night concert at Aldrich Point.
Price: $2,012.00 per paddler. This includes the sponsorship of one disabled military veteran on Century Paddle 2012.
Boat rental, gear rental, and shuttle services are all included. If you have your own gear you may use it instead.
