We had a great trip. It was all and more than we expected. The food and service was great. The workout was grueling! The accomplishment and meeting new paddlers was greatly rewarding.

Not surprisingly, I’ve been thinking a lot about last week’s trip. On reflection, what we did was more like climbing Mt. Rainier than paddling down a “flat water” river. The Columbia is a huge and unique river system and CP2010 was a truly memorable experience.

Century Paddle 2010 was a great experience. The itinerary was challenging but rewarding. The various sky conditions, from drizzly to overcast to partially sunny to full sunshine, complimented the trip and kept it as interesting as the varied wind conditions. The connection with DAV and the other sponsors made this a worthwhile event but the great companionship and comradery made this a special experience. My many thanks and appreciation go to you, Don, Shane and all that put this trip together.

The special touches went a long way (B-Day efforts, hot towels, shrimp/salmon snacks, bussing of plates and a general “can-do” attitude). Don’s ground team provided outstanding service and attentitiveness- a 12 out of 10.
